About the role

Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a Finance Business Analyst for a 4-month engagement to support the reconfiguration and redefinition of requirements for their broker-dealer systems and downstream general ledger integration. This role bridges Finance and Technology, making it ideal for an experienced accountant with strong systems exposure and previous business analysis experience—particularly someone who has worked with ADP/Broadridge and understands their impact on the GL.

The Key Responsibilities include the following;

  • Work with Finance and IT stakeholders to gather, document, and validate business requirements related to ADP/Broadridge system configurations and their integration with the General Ledger
  • Analyze current-state broker-dealer system processes and identify opportunities to optimize GL posting flows
  • Support the end-to-end reconfiguration of financial systems to ensure accurate downstream financial reporting
  • Define test scenarios and participate in testing efforts to ensure accurate and complete data mapping from upstream systems to the GL
  • Act as a liaison between Finance (Accounting) and Technology teams to ensure business needs are accurately translated into technical solutions
  • Support project governance and provide clear documentation on workflows, dependencies, and accounting impacts

Must-Have Qualifications include;

  • Strong accounting background with direct experience working with General Ledger systems. CPA designation is a very strong nice to have
  • Hands-on experience with ADP/Broadridge systems in a broker-dealer or capital markets environment
  • Proven track record as a Business Analyst or hybrid Finance/IT resource in a financial services context
  • Solid understanding of financial data flows, accounting entries, and reconciliation processes
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to partner across cross-functional teams

Nice to Have's include;

  • Experience in a capital markets or securities operations setting
  • Familiarity with system integration projects involving GL and broker-dealer platforms
