SCM Insurance Services is seeking a Workday Analyst to join our Human Resources team to support continuous improvement and post-production functional and technical system support in all areas of the Workday Human Capital Management System. The incumbent in this position needs to have or quickly gain an understanding of the Workday system, and to become a subject matter expert in several aspects of Workday (Absence and Time Tracking, Core HCM, Recruiting, Talent & Performance, Canadian Payroll), and to gain knowledge in the areas of Business Processes, Reporting and Configuration in the Workday system.

Reporting to a Manager Workday, the Workday Analyst will contribute to complex initiatives, conduct research on issues/concerns and be open to continuous learning opportunities.

Job Expectations

You will be assisting:

  • HR and other key stakeholders to revise existing programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new business requirements
  • In handling semi-annual Workday updates (providing recommendations and testing)
  • Users to develop, maintain, produce, and distribute standard and custom reports, job aids or any training material.
  • In the implementation of all new functionality as per business needs
  • In ensuring the recommended enhancements and new features are seen through the project management stages (Define, Measure, Analyze, Implement, Control inclusive of configuration and testing)

You will perform:

  • Internal controls and audits to ensure our security compliance requirements for external auditors with provided procedure details.
  • Review of our test scripts and update them as needed for ongoing system testing.
  • The trouble shooting process on the issues received from our users related to account setup, process, and report access.
  • The actions of maintaining your professional and technical knowledge by reviewing content available at Workday Community

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience is required.
  • At least one year of experience as an analyst working with a Human Resources Information System (HRIS) system in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with systems analysis or configuration.
  • Experience with Workday would be considered an asset.
  • Ability to articulate complex technical topics for non-technical audience.
  • Proven communication skills, with well-developed verbal, written and presentation ability.
  • Project Management skills
  • Strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, good judgment, mature and positive attitude.
  • Ability to interpret data, detect trends, draw conclusions, and formulate recommendations.
  • Ability to work independently and in a remote work environment.
  • Bilingual (English/French) is considered an asset.
