We’re looking for a dedicated Case Manager to take ownership of client files and ensure each case progresses smoothly and efficiently toward resolution or litigation. The role is all about delivering top-tier client service. Our Case Managers are the primary point of contact and play a vital role in creating a positive, lasting impression.

You will work closely with lawyers, legal assistants and other team members to streamline processes and elevate the overall client experience. The Case Manager’s mission is to provide outstanding support, keep clients informed and satisfied, and help us build a reputation for excellence in client care. MLO is a civil litigation boutique firm representing clients that have been seriously injured in accidents or denied insurance benefits. Our team of lawyers and support staff strive to achieve superior compensation for both our clients and the members of our legal team. We currently have offices located in New Glasgow, NS; Halifax, NS; St. John's, NL; and Moncton, NB.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Client Files from Start to Finish: Oversee each case from the initial client meeting, requesting and reviewing medical charts and files, through to the successful delivery of the settlement cheque.
  • Accelerate Case Resolution: Work proactively to reduce the average file lifespan, ensuring clients receive their settlement funds as quickly as possible.
  • Enhance Client Satisfaction: Maintain a high level of client satisfaction while effectively managing a dynamic caseload.
  • Collaborate with Insurance Adjusters: Build and maintain strong relationships with insurance adjusters to support timely and fair claim resolutions.
  • Support Settlement Processes: Prepare comprehensive settlement proposals, assist in obtaining client instructions, and contribute to successful outcomes.
  • Reduce Client Stress: Identify and implement ways to simplify the process for clients, minimizing stress and improving their overall experience.
  • Drive Operational Efficiency: Continuously seek opportunities to eliminate inefficiencies and streamline case managementprocesses for optimal performance.
  • Organizing and maintaining records, files and documents within a cloud-based software platform

Skills

  • Previous experience working in the insurance industry, specifically, as a Section A or B adjuster.
  • Professional Insurance designation or certification (CIP/FCIP) is an asset
  • Fluency in French and English is an asset
