The opportunity:

Dr. Bruno Dyck, a Professor in the Department of Business Administration and holder of the Norman Frohlich Professorship in Business Sustainability, is currently conducting research focused on sustainable business practices.

To support this work, a Research Assistant position has been established. The role is designed to help advance the unit's research objectives, particularly in the area of sustainable business. The incumbent will report directly to Dr. Dyck and collaborate closely with him throughout the project.

The qualifications and experience we’re looking for:

  • B.Comm (honours)
  • Previous experience in qualitative research preferred
  • Strong familiarity with and past research within Social and Ecological Thought preferred
  • General understanding of and past research within Earth's planetary systems preferred
  • Firsthand experience in working on permaculture projects preferred
  • Ability to read and summarize scholarly research
  • Ability to write at a university level
  • Ability to collect qualitative data preferred
  • Ability to manage datasets in Excel at a basic level .
  • Ability to collect institutional data from the internet
  • Satisfactory work record, including satisfactory attendance and punctuality, is required.
  • Preferred Permaculture Design Certificate
