One (1) full time Senior Medical Radiation Technologist - Magnetic Resonance (MRT(MR)) position is available at North Wellington Health Care (NWHC).
This position is unionized with OPSEU.
North Wellington Health Care is introducing Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) program in the fall 2025, located at our Palmerston & District Hospital site. We have an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Senior Medical Radiation Technologist - Magnetic Resonance (Senior MRT (MR)).

REQUIREMENTS:
- Diploma (Degree) in Magnetic Resonance Imaging from an accredited institution.
- Registration with the CMRITO as an MRI Technologist required.
- MRT plus MRI certification required.
- Registration with CAMRT - preferred.
- Minimum 5 years technical experience in Magnetic Resonance Imaging
- MR safety officer certification required.
- Leadership and mentorship/coaching courses are an asset
- Current BCLS
- Must be IV certified
- Demonstrated understanding of all applicable regulatory standards and legislation
- Demonstrated critical thinking, problem solving, decision making, conflict management and organizational skill
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively with many and varied internal and external individuals, groups, and agencies
- Demonstrated effective communications, organization and interpersonal skills
- Thorough knowledge of the practice of MRI procedures and quality assurance.
- Experience providing safety training and ensuring adherence to safety procedures and standards.
- Experience with overseeing and troubleshooting scanner and peripheral equipment.
- Effective organizational and time management skills with the ability to set priorities.
- Ability to work professionally and accurately under stressful conditions.
- Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position
- Other duties as required

Satisfactory performance and attendance required

Satisfactory Reference Checks required prior to start date

Must provide a Police Vulnerable Sector Check

Must complete a Pre-Employment Health Assessment prior to being hired

SALARY: $42.24 to $54.87 per hour
