About the role

Position Summary JOB DESCRIPTION Under the direct supervision of the Pit Manager, this position is responsible for monitoring the day-to-day activities of table games operations on an assigned area basis while establishing and contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all employees. This position is responsible for providing superior customer service and conducting all games in a precise, efficient and secure manner according to the policies and procedures. Assists with the implementation of all new table games initiatives. Above all else, must be aligned with, and promote, Casino New Brunswick culture and philosophy of creating a great, memorable experience for our guests and colleagues.

Key Accountabilities

  • Monitors Dealers in an assigned area; maintains game integrity; monitors game limits and cash/value transactions; may assign shift work assignments in an assigned area
  • Provides input for coaching and mentoring employees
  • Requests fill/credit issuance as required
  • Verifies cash/value transactions pertaining to floats, fills credits and tips
  • Responds to, resolves or escalates issues
  • Reports irregularities and suspicious activities
  • Assists in allotting player seating and waiting lists
  • Maintains a tidy work area
  • Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
  • All duties and responsibilities of a Table Games Dealer
  • Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, ownership and employees
  • Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned or directed

Education And Qualification Requirements

  • High School Diploma; Post Secondary education or a suitable combination of education and experience an asset
  • Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and serv ice oriented communication
  • Computer literacy in MS Office
  • Ability to successfully obtain a Responsible Beverage certification;
  • Ability to successfully obtain and maintain a Gaming Registration within applicable province (New Brunswick).
  • Strong and accurate mathematical skills
  • Manual dexterity and the ability to stand for long periods of time

Work Environment Considerations

  • This role requires extended period of standing, fast paced with multiple priorities, deadlines and deliverables; exposure to some conflict, distress and noise;
  • The role requires a flexible schedule that adapts to business needs, will have non-traditional work hours including holidays, evening, overnight or weekend shifts.
