Job Summary

The Shunt Driver provides shunting services to our Calgary facility.

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday; 3:30 PM to 01:00 AM

Essential Functions:

  • Ensure the safe movement of large vehicles and trailers around the terminal
  • Adhere to strict health and safety guidelines
  • Complete safety assessments
  • Inspect vehicles and trailers
  • Couple and uncouple trailers
  • Park trailers safely
  • Maneuver laden and un-laden trailers
  • Ensure handover procedures are correctly implemented when passing goods on to other workers.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Professional attitude in all interactions when on shift
  • Valid Class 1 license with clear commercial driver’s abstract
  • Experience operating and maintaining a commercial vehicle to DOT safety regulations
  • Basic geographical knowledge of Edmonton and surrounding areas
  • Excellent communications skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to lift/carry freight up to 50 lbs
  • Available to work full time Monday-Friday; evening shift

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Starting Wage: $27.50/hr
  • Comprehensive benefits package available including pension matching program upon successful completion of probationary period
