Job Description
We are currently looking for an Intermediate Automation Designer or Engineer to join our rapidly growing team!
Ideally you have industrial electrical and control experience. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for the estimating, leading and designing smaller scale control systems.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Technical lead of electrical and control system designs
- Estimate control systems and electrical control panels
- Financial knowledge in regard to estimating and invoicing projects
- Highly organized, detail oriented, dependable, punctual, and able to make sound technical decisions with minimal assistance
- Manage projects and customer communications as required
- Review, check and develop detailed drawing packages for various design concepts using CAD systems
- Conduct technical studies, equipment and systems performance audits and generate reports
- Write technical documents and reports for various stages on mining and industrial projects
- Electrical power distribution and control system design experience
- Test and commission systems at factory and customer facilities
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Be a team player with exceptional interpersonal skills
- Ability to occasionally travel locally and abroad
We offer:
- Full time position 40 hours per week
- Monday to Friday (overtime as required)

Ionic Mechatronics specializes in engineering robotics, electronics, networking, computing, hydraulics, design, and automation. Ionic is heavily involved in new products development as well as Hydraulic Chute development and mobile tools for mines.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00-$38.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
