Position Description

We currently have an exciting new opportunity for a self-motivated, eager, target driven individual to add to our sales team based in Scarborough. The focus of the role is multi-faceted with seeking out new customers/business, build existing services, ensure quality service, and meet performance standards.

Position Responsibilities

  • Proactively generate new leads and build relationships through cold calling, email outreach, networking, site visits, and referrals
  • Educate prospects on solid waste services including front-load, roll-off, recycling, and organics collection
  • Prepare and deliver custom proposals, site audits, and waste assessments to identify opportunities for service improvement or cost savings
  • Work closely with operations to ensure feasibility and alignment of proposed services
  • Manage and track activity through a CRM platform (e.g., PipelineCRM)
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales targets and contribute to company growth objectives
  • Maintain a deep understanding of industry regulations, market conditions, and competitor offerings
  • Attend trade shows, business expos, and industry events to promote brand and service offerings

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in B2B sales or business development — solid waste, recycling, or related field preferred
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain technical services clearly and confidently
  • Self-starter mindset with a proven ability to close deals and exceed targets
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally for client meetings/site assessments
  • Knowledge of solid waste regulations, diversion programs, and sustainability practices is a strong asset
  • Great relationship builder who establishes strong alliances with customers, vendors, and all stakeholders
