About the role

Job Title : Quality Assurance Inspector

Reports To : Quality Manager

Job Summary:

The Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for the direct examination of products to ensure that quality standards and procedures are met and aligned with legislation and customer specifications. Requiring a high level of attention to detail, the Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for strictly adhering to the organization's quality assurance policies and identifying defects and or production errors in order to prevent these materials from entering the supply chain.

Job Responsibilities:

· Performs inspections and audits to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.

· Remove defective items from production, designating the reason for removal.

· Report defects to the appropriate manager.

· Perform internal QA audits that are compliant with corporate policies, practices, and procedures.

· Assist with the maintenance of QA monitoring programs, including audits, controls, and other qualifiers.

· Support new product development and continuous improvement and by integrating quality control tools (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) into processes.

· Comply with Company QA programs for monitoring supplier quality, including audits, controls, and other qualifiers.

· Promote and advocate quality achievement and performance improvement across the organization.

· Ensure ongoing compliance with local, national, and international standards and legislation.

· Adopt and incorporate quality methods into their work.

· Create and maintain QA control documentation.

· Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Qualifications

· Requires a post-secondary degree, diploma, or certificate in Quality, Aeronautical, Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.

· Minimum of three (3) years of practical experience in a similar manufacturing environment

· Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing, industry standards, practices, and specifications is a strong asset

· Must be cognizant of AS9100, ISO9001 standards, and FAIs.

· Must possess a strong working knowledge of computer applications including word processing and databases.

· Able to work in a team environment and must possess team facilitation skills.

· Must possess strong attention to detail

· Requires good organizational skills and the ability to set and prioritize tasks and the ability to work independently.
