We are currently seeking dependable and detail-oriented cleaners to join our growing team. This role is ideal for individuals who take pride in their work, value consistency, and are passionate about supporting people in their homes with care and respect.
Job Summary
As a Residential Cleaner, you will be responsible for providing regular home cleaning services to our private clients across Greater Victoria. This includes scheduled recurring visits (weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly) as well as deep cleans and move-in/move-out services. You will work independently or in pairs depending on the size of the job, with clear instructions provided in advance.
This is a client-facing position requiring professionalism, punctuality, and attention to detail. Most clients are seniors or individuals with mobility limitations, so empathy and respect are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and surface disinfection
- Clean kitchens and bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, countertops, and appliances
- Change bed linens and manage light laundry tasks when requested
- Conduct deep cleaning services as scheduled (e.g., baseboards, interior windows, inside appliances)
- Report any concerns about the home environment to the office team
- Ensure a safe, respectful, and tidy home after each visit
- Use client-specific checklists and complete basic visit documentation
Experience and Qualifications
- Experience in residential, hotel, or commercial cleaning preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and health/safety protocols
- Clear Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Sector) required prior to start
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
- Excellent time management and reliability
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently
- Physical ability to perform repetitive tasks and lift up to 25 lbs
Preferred Assets
- Experience working with seniors or in home care settings
- Familiarity with eco-friendly or hypoallergenic cleaning products
- Flexibility for short-notice or urgent cleanings
- Additional spoken languages are an asset
