About the role
Role: Manager, Investor Relations, Private Equity
Our Client: Is a leading global investment management firm.
*Please note that this is a full-time, in-office role. Offices are located downtown Toronto.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a key point of contact for existing and prospective private fund investors regarding financial information, fund performance, portfolio company updates, and RFI’s
- Develop financial and operational analyses to support strategic messaging to investors
- Crisply and effectively articulate the private equity strategy to stakeholders, including new transaction activity as well as ongoing portfolio updates
- Actively engage in the formulation of key messaging to the market and be an effective communicator of this messaging both verbally and in written format
- Plan recurring and adhoc investor meetings, including the annual private funds investor conference, and all related materials
- Support the preparation of key fundraising deliverables for the private equity group
- Assist with organizing and managing co-investment syndication activities
- Execute on strategic initiatives within the group
Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree + CPA and/or CFA
- 4+ years of experience in: capital markets, investment banking, accounting, equity research, corporate development, investor relations, transaction services
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- Financial reporting and valuation models experience
- Knowledge of private equity investment structures is preferred
- Experience with Salesforce and FISDX (Sungard) is preferred
- Communication, agility, problem solving, organization, attention to detail, collaborative, ambitious, self-starter
