RESPONSIBILITIES

 Proactively managing your daily sales activities to support & exceed targets

 Research, follow-up on and convert sales leads in order to achieve targeted market segments, revenues and occupancy as laid down in the property budget/business plan and contribute to an innovative but cost-effective Sales and Marketing Plan.

 Solicit and book sales group bookings with 10+ rm/nights in various market segments such as SMERF, Corporate, Athletic & Association, group, LNR & CNR accounts, solicit events and meetings to compliment company’s sales revenue goals.

 Professionally handle all third party and group room inquiries through to contracting

 Achieve all personal sales goals to help us maximize profitability

 Create and implement sales tactics that further increase daily ADR and OCC%

 Review Brand and Hotel reports to assist in tracking performance and developing the hotel's and your own growth plan

 Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients

 Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and prospective/target contacts

 Travel locally to conduct outside sales calls, promote the hotel and review competition.

 Prepare information for, meet and entertain clients as deemed appropriate by potential business from that account.

 Represent the hotel at trade shows, handling all preparation including exhibit setup, creation of marketing collateral, and implementation of client acquisition strategies

 Create and present weekly/monthly/quarterly sales activities and forecasting

 Conduct site inspections

 Establish and maintain excellent rapport with clients, prior to, during and post event, encouraging repeat business

 Initiate billing procedures, ensuring any deposits and/or credit applications are received with adequate information and within an acceptable time frame

 Working closely with the General Manager and Regional Sales Director to achieve market segments, revenues and occupancy targets as laid down in the property business plan.

QUALIFICATIONS

 Five plus years of experience in hotel sales with a proven track record of dedication and success

 One plus years of experience with Extended Stay sales

 Strong knowledge of local businesses (YYZ airport market) and business trends in the area

 Ability to effectively communicate with customers in a friendly and positive manner, in order to solicit business, meet client needs and address stay requirements

 Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal required

 Ability to move throughout the hotel to conduct site inspections

 Ability to work independently and in a team environment

 Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all time

 Must be able to commit to and follow through on a schedule of outside sales calls as required to meet targets

 Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player

 Must speak and write English at a professional level

 Self-starting personality with an even disposition

 Awareness of, and ability to use lead generation tools like MeetingBroker and Cvent, RFP protocols.

 Proficiency in IHG’s platforms such as Opera, HotelKey and Merlin an asset.
