The Accounting Clerk is responsible for maintaining and supporting systems, processes, and documentation within the finance team.
Duties and responsibilities

Key Activities
-
Providing accounting and clerical assistance to the accounting department.

Process supplier invoices and review 3-way match.
-
Review and resolve issues in emails received from internal and external vendors.

Process vender payments and credit card transactions
-
Assist in payroll processing.
-
Maintain orderly financial filing system.
-
Reconciliation of various accounts.
-
Collaborate with Purchasing Manager to achieve a balanced inventory system.
-
Perform other duties as assigned in support of the Accounting Team.

Reconcile bank transactions and month end close

Assist in preparing WSIB and EHT remittances
-
INTERACTION
This position requires communication with various venders, Sponsors, banks and Transpharmation employees.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- ENVIRONMENT
Generally working in a typical interior office work environment.
- RISK TO HEALTH
There will be occasional periods of several hours per day performing physically repetitive procedures (typing, filing etc.). There is also a potential for digital eye strain resulting from prolonged computer use.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- PHYSICAL DEMANDS
No or very limited physical effort required. No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
- PHYSICAL DEXTERITY
Visual acuity, agility, accuracy and consistency will be required.

College diploma in accounting

EXPERIENCE

3-5 years full-cycle accounting experience

2 years payroll experience
-
1-5 years NetSuite experience (nice to have)

Advanced understanding of Excel

Knowledge

Good understanding of accounting principles and leading-edge business practices

Excellent communication skills

Excellent analytical, financial, and mathematical abilities

Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

Extremely trustworthy and professionally minded

Strong time management and prioritization skills
