About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage Medications: Process prescriptions for pets and humans, ensuring accuracy and compliance with veterinary requirements.
• Client Communication: Answer questions related to veterinary and human medications and provide guidance on their proper use.
• Maintain Records: Keep detailed records of all compounded medications and prescriptions.
• Support Pharmacists: Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing medications.

Our ideal candidate will:

• A strong interest in veterinary and human medicine and a genuine love for animals.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Veterinary Medical Terminology is an asset.
• A willingness to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Previous experience in a veterinary setting is a plus, but not required.
• Veterinary Assistant (VA) or Veterinary Office Assistant (VOA) program certificate is an asset

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Experience:

• Veterinary terminology: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Vet. Assistant or Vet. Office Assistant Certificate (preferred)

Work Location: In person
