Job Description:
In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health) patient and staff safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone; as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.
Reporting to the Logistics Manager or designate and taking work direction from the Logistics Team Lead, the Supervisor supervises the daily operations and designated staff through the coordination of patient and material transport throughout all areas of the hospital and performs related administrative duties.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Training And Experience
Grade 12 plus four years' recent, related experience including one year in a supervisory capacity, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Appropriate valid motor vehicle license and endorsements.
Skills And Abilities

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Ability to deal with others effectively and build strong partnerships/ relations.

Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.

Ability to supervise.

Ability to organize, prioritize and manage work.

Ability to meet deadlines.

Ability to operate related equipment such as computer, associated software and a variety of communication devices.
