A well-known family-owned business based in Vancouver, this company has a vast commercial real estate and property portfolio.
Your new role
- Assist with reviewing and processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable duties, including organizing, tracking, coding and processing of all invoices and cheques
- You will manage 15–20 properties that are within the office and the retail space.
- Work with the property management team to provide timely and accurate accounting information
- Prepare month-end property reconciliations and analysis
- Ensure tenant information is accurate and up to date, including reviewing and posting rent rolls, and processing monthly PAPs
- Respond to tenant and vendor inquiries
- You will manage the budgeting and financial reporting process.
- Financial data entry including preparation of journal entries
- Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements
- Participate in the annual budgeting process for Operating Expenses and Capital Expenditure programs.
- Other tasks as assigned
What you'll need to succeed
- Degree with a focus on accounting as an asset
- 2–3 years in a Property Accountant or Accounting role.
- Strong time management and organizational skills. Ability to meet tight timelines while managing multiple projects and priorities effectively
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
- Experience with Yardi is an asset, excel is a requirement.
What you'll get in return
You will earn a competitive salary of $67k - $75k depending on experience, 3 weeks' vacation, benefits.
