About the role
Key Accountabilities
- Lead and manage the end-to-end learning and development process for each assignment, from needs analysis to program delivery, evaluation and follow up.
- Collaborate with leadership and subject matter experts across the company to create customized solutions that promote enhanced employee performance, increase retention rates and transfer of learning.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of learning and development programs through employee feedback and other assessment tools. Utilize that feedback to make modifications to programs as required.
- Develop learning objectives for content and align these objectives with assessment design to reinforce learning and test for knowledge retention.
- Utilize technology (LMS, online portals, etc.) to deliver programs.
- Manage and update materials, ensuring content remains accurate, current, relevant, and engaging.
- Foster relationships with external vendors and consultants as needed.
- Manage external customer facing learning technologies, content, and access.
- Identify best practices and provide recommendation for new approaches to ensure continuous improvement and enhance organizational effectiveness.
- Provide expertise to various departments (People and Culture, Pharmacy Services, eMAR, IT, etc.) in the development, testing, and troubleshooting of integrated technologies and programs.
Qualifications
- Education:

- Post secondary education in adult education, human resources, or equivalent work experience required
- Certifications:
-
- Certificate in Adult Education and/or Instructional Design required
- Experience:
-
- 3-5 years in an instructional design role
- Knowledge of e-learning design principles and program evaluation methods to develop performance measures and report on learning outcomes
- Experience using learning management systems to develop and delivery training content
- Skills:
-
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, concise and engagement content for diverse audiences
- Ability to partner with various stakeholders in identifying their needs and suggesting solutions to address those gaps
- Experience using learning and development creation software tools such as Snagit, Articulate360, Camtasia, Moodle, etc.
- Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Understanding of basic project management principles with the ability to break down large projects into manageable and achievable milestones
