Our Private Equity client in Burlington has an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Manager to join their team in office. This is a key role within a growing organization that manages a diverse portfolio of investments. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing corporate accounting functions and supporting tax and compliance processes. This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with senior leadership, cross-functional teams, and external stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day accounting functions for corporate entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal standards.
- Oversee and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and transaction classifications to maintain clean and organized financial records.
- Lead the preparation of cash flow projections
- Handle investor-related financial processes, including capital movements, unit transactions, and related reporting.
- Coordinate corporate tax filings and regulatory submissions, including but not limited to T5s, HST, and EHT returns.
- Act as a key liaison between internal teams and external partners such as auditors, accountants, and tax advisors.
- Support the year-end close process including financial statements and audit deliverables.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial deliverables are accurate and submitted on schedule.
Qualifications:
- CPA designated or currently enrolled in the program is strongly preferred
- 5+ years of strong accounting experience – some management experience is ideal
- Knowledge of Canadian Tax
