The Gracemed Clinic is located in central Nanaimo, within 1 km to the Nanaimo regional hospital. The Clinic currently has opportunities for full-time and locum positions.
There is an excellent income potential through fee-for-service billing and an overhead contribution of 30%. Shift hours are Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, with flexi-time options available. An average of 20-50 patients appointments a day seen virtually, and in-person, optional hospital obstetrics can be included. There is no walk-in service; however, if a physician wishes to pursue the service, it can be arranged for a Saturday. Electronic medical records are maintained through MedAccess, and the Office Manager will take care of scheduling, banking and billing.
The Clinic is a relaxed and friendly environment with helpful staff. There are six examination rooms and, in addition, one minor surgery room. The mezzanine level consists of two offices and a coffee lounge. There is free undercover secure parking, and patient parking is free. The building is also home to two gynecologists/obstetrician and a dental office.
The Clinic will assist you with building a patient panel, and you will be guided in complex care and chronic disease billing. In addition, you will be supported throughout the process and given community connections to assist with lifestyle and accommodation needs.
The practice owner is involved in Continuing Professional Development Program through Doctors of BC and the Nanaimo Division of Family Practice.

Nanaimo, population 90,000, is a growing and vibrant urban centre situated on the east coast of Vancouver Island, located approximately 100 kilometers north of Victoria and offers excellent access via commercial flights, float plane or ferry to Vancouver.
