About the role
The Cut Fruit & Vegetable Preparation Clerk is responsible for preparing the in-store made “Fresh Cut” program items and assembling various grab & go trays and taking special orders. Tasks also include attending to the needs of our customers, product quality assurance and maintaining department standards, all in a professional, responsible, accurate and timely fashion.
This is a Part Time position – 16 – 32 hours / week.
Open availability is required – Days, Evenings and Weekends.

Job Description & Responsibilities:
· Provide excellent customer service skills – enjoy serving customers with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
· Self-motivated with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.
· Ability to work in an energetic, fast paced environment.
· Ability to multi-task – excellent organizational, time management and prioritizing skills.
· Effective communication and listening skills.
· Adhere to all department standard operating procedures, food safety protocols, health & safety policies and general store policies.
· Ensure all products are properly stored and rotated to ensure freshness.
· Assist in receiving incoming products and inspect for freshness and quality.
· Prepare fruit & vegetables for the Fresh Cut program items.
· Assemble party trays.
· Prepare special orders.
· Follow production schedules.
· Keep work area clean and presentable at all times.
· Awareness of product changes and seasonal requirements.
· Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance and uniform.
Physical Demands:
Walking; standing, reaching, bending, twisting, ability to carry/lift 40 lbs.

Expected hours: 16 – 32 per week
