Job Summary:
We’re looking for a Disaster Recovery Coordinator to help safeguard our critical IT systems and ensure business continuity across the organization. In this role, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to develop, implement, and maintain robust disaster recovery plans. Your technical expertise in IT infrastructure, networking, and systems architecture—combined with your strong coordination and communication skills—will ensure we can respond quickly and effectively to any disruptive event. You'll play a key role in keeping our operations resilient and recovery-ready.
What you'll be doing:
- Contribute to, implement, and maintain the enterprise-wide IT Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP)
- Develop and manage high-level DR runbooks and failover procedures
- Coordinate communication with internal stakeholders and external clients during DR planning and execution
- Lead cross-functional efforts to assess business impact and recovery requirements for critical IT services
- Conduct risk assessments and gap analyses to identify infrastructure and DR readiness vulnerabilities
- Collaborate with infrastructure, network, security, and application teams to design resilient, high-availability architectures
- Plan and facilitate regular disaster recovery drills and simulations, including post-exercise reviews and reports
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of IT assets, system dependencies, and recovery priorities
- Monitor and enforce compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal governance
- Maintain the C1 Disaster Recovery Management Standard and escalate non-compliance issues as needed
- Deliver training and awareness sessions on DR practices to internal teams and key stakeholders
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences, including leadership, during crisis events
- Support IT teams in meeting SOC 2 and other compliance requirements by gathering evidence and documentation
- Partner with the Business Continuity Management (BCM) team to maintain Business Continuity Plans (BCP) and conduct Business Impact Assessments (BIA)
What you'll have:
- Degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, network administration, or systems architecture
- 1+ years of hands-on experience in disaster recovery or business continuity planning
- In-depth knowledge of enterprise network topologies, data center architecture, cloud platforms, virtualization, and storage systems
- Proficient in using backup and recovery tools, monitoring systems, and disaster recovery automation frameworks
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Working knowledge of ServiceNow CMDB (preferred)
- Experience with Azure-based disaster recovery processes (preferred)
- Familiarity with Zerto disaster recovery solutions (preferred)
- Background in incident response or cybersecurity is considered an asset
- Demonstrated strengths in analytical thinking and problem solving
- Skilled in technical documentation and reporting
- Experienced in risk mitigation and contingency planning
- Effective in stakeholder engagement and communication
- Committed to process improvement and change management
Salary range: $60,000-$73,000
The salary range represents the job rate determined for the successful candidate who is fully competent in the role. The actual salary will vary depending on market conditions and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
