About the role
We are looking for a Service Manager based in Calgary, AB, to lead shop and field service operations in a fast-paced, safety-first environment. In this salaried role, you’ll oversee planning, performance, and customer service delivery while supporting teams across both Calgary and Red Deer. Regular travel between the two locations is required. This position offers a shift rotation of 5x2 and a salary range of $117,000 – $123,000, plus incentive.
Your Role
- Lead a high-performing team and drive a culture of safety, quality, and accountability
- Oversee service operations, including installation, maintenance, and repair activities
- Monitor financial performance, conduct bottom-line analysis, and adjust plans to meet targets
- Collaborate with Parts and Warehouse teams to align on service needs and inventory planning
- Resolve service and warranty issues while maintaining strong customer relationships
- Support continuous improvement, data accuracy, and quality assurance initiatives
What You Bring
- At least 5 years of leadership experience in an industrial setting, with background as a Journeyperson in a relevant trade
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, with experience leading teams and maintaining compliance with health and safety standards
- Solid financial acumen, with experience analyzing service performance, cost, and operational data
- Hands-on background in maintaining and repairing construction or mining equipment
- Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills with a proactive, solutions-focused leadership style
