Your Opportunity
This isn’t just a management role—it’s your stage to lead, innovate, and make a lasting impact. As the Facilities Manager, you’ll oversee a high-profile, high-impact facilities portfolio where every day brings something new. From managing multi-million-dollar assets and leading major capital projects to ensuring the safety and comfort of guests, staff, and horses, this role is packed with responsibility, challenge, and opportunity. You’ll report directly to the Director of Facilities and work alongside our executive and racing leadership to make things happen—on time, on budget, and above expectations.
How You’ll Make Your Mark
- Lead a top-tier facilities and custodial team—coaching, scheduling, and inspiring excellence every day.
- Design and execute smart preventative and predictive maintenance strategies that keep our systems humming.
- Oversee large-scale capital projects from idea to execution—managing timelines, budgets, vendors, and contracts.
- Build strong relationships with contractors and local authorities while negotiating contracts and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Manage all building systems, from HVAC and electrical to janitorial and snow removal—with confidence and authority.
- Take full ownership of departmental budgeting, long-term planning, and operational readiness.
- Be the first call when the unexpected happens—providing calm, strategic leadership during after-hours emergencies.
Who You Are
- A strategic, solutions-driven leader with 5+ years of hands-on facilities management experience in a complex, multi-use environment.
- A master of juggling priorities—able to stay calm under pressure and confident making big decisions.
- A people-first leader who brings out the best in their team through mentorship, accountability, and clear communication.
- A planner and executor—equally skilled at envisioning the big picture and sweating the small stuff.
- A detail-obsessed professional who knows building codes, health & safety, and compliance inside out.
Bonus Points For:
- Experience managing properties with both indoor and outdoor components (bonus if that includes livestock or stabling!).
- Background in commercial project management or trades.
- Familiarity with AGLC regulations and facility management software.
