About the role
At PwC, our people in deals focus on providing strategic advice and support to clients in areas such as mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and restructuring. They help clients navigate complex transactions and maximise value in their business deals. Those in Real Assets at PwC advise public and private sector clients in procuring, developing, financing, and executing projects in the energy, infrastructure, and mining sectors. Your work will demonstrate and build on strong commercial and financial acumen, sectoral expertise, project management skills, and the ability to coordinate various stakeholders and resources.
Meaningful work you’ll be part of
As an associate, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve business issues, deliver high quality client service and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Participate in complex project developments, financings, and transactions in the energy, infrastructure, and mining sectors
- Participate in developing financial models and assist in complex data analysis and modeling including preparing visual representations of data
- Conduct feasibility studies, financial and commercial analysis, and risk assessments for projects and companies
- Perform independent validation of project data
- Participate in the development of project management processes
- Participate in the development, implementation, and monitoring of project controls
- Participate in writing reports, procurement documents, and/or information memorandums
- Undertake market research and benchmarking exercises as directed
- Assist in developing business development opportunities for the real assets practice and the preparation of pitch decks, marketing materials, and proposals
- Assist in developing work plans, indicative schedules and budget estimates
Experiences And Skills You’ll Use To Solve
- Previous experience (including internships) working in either project finance/M&A or within an engineering consulting/project management firm would be an asset
- An interest in pursuing a professional designation in finance (CFA, CBV) or in project management (PMP, PQS) would be an asset
- Strong financial modeling skills
- Ability to work on multiple and diverse projects and on projects with tight deadlines
- Ability to use a broad range of tools and techniques to extract insights from current trends and problem-solve
- Occasional travel is required, typically less than 10%.
- This role doesn’t support completion of the Canadian CPA designation.

PwC BC Region Pay Range Information The salary range* for this position is $ 41,600 - 69,400$, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual bonus payment. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon your skills, experience, qualifications and geographic location.
- Please note that the salary range for this position is reflected for our British Columbia region. Given our national recruiting approach, we recruit (and may hire) in other regions and therefore the salary range may differ depending on the work location. PwC is committed to competitive compensation and sharing salary ranges in accordance with applicable pay transparency legislation as they arise.
