Job Description
Job Responsibilities
-
Working on a team with other Project Engineers and Designers on ITS projects involving preliminary and detailed designs, and construction support
-
Working closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers and other professional staff on project tasks including preparing engineering drawings and documents, reports and memos, presentations, data management, calculations, proposal preparation, client interactions, and quality control and assurance
-
Design and drafting for the preparation of drawings under direction from Project Engineer or Project Manager
Qualifications
- Transportation, Electrical or Civil Engineering Technologist Diploma. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering would be an asset
- Proficient with Autodesk AutoCAD and Bentley MicroStation to the lead the drafting and publishing of drawing design packages
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in comparable drafting work. Design experience in electrical, ITS, illumination, traffic signal would be an asset
- Excellent written and oral communications skills in English
- Excellent skills in the use of Microsoft Office software
- Strong attention to detail
- A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
