From the warmth of our Bistro to the bustle of our Thrift Warehouses, your care ensures every space reflects our values of dignity, inclusion, and community.
Your Role:
You will ensure all SIRCH locations are safe, clean, efficient, and functioning smoothly — indoors and out. This includes performing hands-on tasks and coordinating with trusted contractors to keep everything running reliably. You’ll be our go-to problem-solver, making sure spaces support the programs and people that rely on them.
Key Responsibilities:
General Maintenance & Repairs
- Complete routine repairs and upkeep at the Bistro, Thrift Warehouses, Office, and other SIRCH sites.
- Handle tasks like tightening chairs, fixing leaks, replacing caulking, cleaning vents, repairing floors, and assembling furniture.
Fire Safety
- Coordinate annual inspections for fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, and smoke/fire detectors.
- Conduct monthly fire system checks at the Warehouse and ensure exits and fire safety tools are accessible and compliant.
Electrical
- Replace light fixtures, maintain signage, and coordinate exterior lighting upgrades with licensed professionals as needed.
HVAC
- Clean air vents, adjust thermostats and AC units, and replace filters in kitchens and office spaces.
Plumbing
- Recaulk sinks, clean drains, and resolve issues like frozen freezer drains.
Appliance Repairs
- Liaise with external contractors to maintain and repair kitchen equipment including ovens, deli slicers, freezers, and tray sealers.
Waste Management
- Manage garbage and recycling pickup schedules and maintain clean and functional waste areas.
Exterior Upkeep
- Coordinate seasonal tasks such as snow and ice removal, roof and gutter cleaning.
Refrigeration Maintenance (Bistro Bakery)
· Maintain refrigeration units at the Bistro Bakery, including regular cleaning of compressors to ensure efficient operation and prevent breakdowns.
Appliance Repairs
· Liaise with external contractors to maintain and repair kitchen equipment including ovens, deli slicers, freezers, and tray sealers.
Supplies & Inventory
- Order and monitor dishwasher chemicals for the Bistro Bakery.
Miscellaneous Support
- Clean windows, tighten hardware, and help with setup or assembly when needed.
Vendor & Contractor Coordination
- Maintain a contact list of trusted service providers.
- Schedule and oversee contractors doing specialized work on-site.
Who You Are:

- You’re approachable and organized, with a knack for fixing things and getting things done.
Qualifications:
- Experience in general maintenance, facilities, or building operations.
- Knowledge of basic systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.).
- Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage service schedules and external vendors.
- Familiar with writing quotes, comparisons and various reports.
- A valid driver’s license and access to transportation may be required.
Work Environment:
This role involves indoor and outdoor work across SIRCH locations. You’ll use basic hand tools, occasionally climb ladders, and handle physical tasks that help create spaces people love to be in.
Location: Across SIRCH sites- including The Warehouse, The Bistro, The Office, Thrift Hali, and related properties.

Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
