About the role
B&J Warehousing & Distribution is a company specializing in warehousing and logistics services, committed to providing customers with efficient and professional one-stop supply chain solutions. With stable operations, a well-maintained office environment, and a supportive team culture, we are now looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our administrative support team.
This role is an integral part of the Finance Department and is responsible for managing the company’s daily accounting tasks, including accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable (AP):
- Verify purchase orders and invoices; process payments to vendors
- Manage key supplier accounts and ensure timely payments
- Identify and resolve discrepancies between invoice, purchase order, and goods received
- Ensure all available supplier credits are utilized before using vendor credit lines
- Conduct regular reconciliations of vendor accounts
Accounts Receivable (AR):
- Maintain and update the billing system
- Issue and send invoices to customers
- Follow up on customer payments and record allocations accurately
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies or customer inquiries
- Communicate with customers via email, phone, or in person as needed
- Complete adjustments and maintain accurate customer account records
Other Duties:
- Support day-to-day operations within the finance department
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications:
- Completion of at least one year of post-secondary education in Accounting or Business (diploma or certificate)
- Minimum one year of relevant work experience; experience in logistics, transportation, or freight forwarding is an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting or reconciliation tasks
- Strong attention to detail with good time management and organizational skills
- Effective communication and customer service skills in both English and Chinese
- Able to work independently while also being a collaborative team player
- Mandarin-speaking candidates are preferred
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
