Hopewell Real Estate Services has an opening for a full-time Assistant Property Manager located in Winnipeg MB, reporting directly to the Property Manager.
As our Assistant Property Manager, your daily responsibilities may include:
Financial & Administrative Support
- Assisting in the preparation and review of budgets, leases, and financial reports
- Compile data for capital budgets and track expenses to ensure they align with the budget
- Providing regular reports for senior management, including summaries of Accounts Receivables and monthly activities
- Support day-to-day property management activities
Property Maintenance Coordination
- Helping to ensure the properties are well-maintained and services such as landscaping or snow removal be in place
- Assisting with scheduling and coordinating regular property inspections
- Reviewing and approving routine expenses for property upkeep
Tenant Relations Assistance
- Serving as a first point of contact for tenants, handling requests, and ensuring timely follow ups
- Assisting in negotiating lease renewals and coordinating tenant construction approvals
Team Collaboration
- Helping to maintain a positive work environment by supporting the team and adhering to company policies
- Assisting in identifying opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies
- Working collaboratively with staff, tenants, and external stakeholders to support overall property management goals.
On your resume, we ask that you outline the following experience:
- 3 – 5+ years of commercial property management experience
- Post-secondary certificate/diploma; bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Yardi experience (P2P preferred), as well as proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically in Excel
- Demonstrated experience with financial reporting practices
- Comprehensive and hands-on understanding of property management systems and processes
- Established ability to negotiate and implement contractual agreements while maintaining professional relationships with tenants, staff, developers, brokers, partners and industry stakeholders
- Strong knowledge of legal documentation, including offers to lease, lease agreements, sublease agreements, purchase and sale agreements and restrictive covenants
- Demonstrated experience in directing the development and management of complex projects
