Overview of Position:
JOB LOCATION: BEAUSEJOUR, MB
The Accounts Payable Representative will be directly responsible for performing data entry and related duties in disbursing non-payroll accounts payable to individuals, suppliers, corporations, and other entities. This includes filing, maintaining, and updating financial spreadsheets and performing other administrative duties of the finance department. The A/P Representative will also ensure the timely and accurate processing of payment documents such as purchase orders, employee reimbursements, and any other accounting transactions related to the management of Accounts Payables.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organizing, reviewing, investigating, problem solving and matching payables
- Resolving discrepancies
- Setting up new contractors and vendors in the accounting system
- Uploading invoices & receipts
- Review vendor statements and upload
- Ensure invoices are correctly posted
- Accepting, organizing, reviewing and processing employee reimbursements
- Preparing and processing payments
- Attaching remittance slips with payments to vendors
- Maintaining appropriate communication and confidentiality
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of experience in Accounts Payable or similar position or combination of education and experience.
- Background in account, bookkeeping, accounts payable, or accounts receivable would be considered an asset.
- Experience with gathering data, compiling appropriate information, and preparing reports
- Experience with data entry.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Tools: Excel, Word, Outlook
- Experience with Business Central and Microsoft Dynamics would be considered an asset.
Minimum or Other Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of payment regulations.
- Attention to detail and data entry accuracy.
- Ability to accurately calculate, post, correct, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
- Strong work ethics and positive team attitude
- Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully when dealing with vendors and coworkers.
Work conditions:
- Computer and phone use, sitting, manual dexterity, noise associated with working in an office.

Pay: $38,000 to $43,000 per year
