QuikCare Clinic is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to lead our Health Screening Coordinator role, as part of our newly launched Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) Program. At QuikCare, we are committed to providing exceptional healthcare services to employers and their workforce, promoting wellness and preventing disease.
Our innovative Point-of-Care Testing Health Screening Program will cater to over 80,000 employees, completely free of charge. The health screening includes two key components:
- Physical measurements
- Point-of-care testing for lipid panels and HbA1C levels
Equipped with cutting-edge technology, QuikCare Clinic ensures accurate and fast results, delivering a comprehensive lipid panel and hemoglobin A1C measurements within just 15 minutes.
The Health Screening Coordinator will:
- Oversee the Health Screening Program, ensuring that all clinic policies and procedures are implemented in alignment with employer requirements and best practices.
- Conduct regular audits of clinic workflows and policies to maintain high standards of quality and compliance.
- Deliver Health Screening services, ensuring that all procedures are carried out efficiently and meet quality control standards.
- Manage and maintain POCT inventory, including the ordering and restocking of supplies to support seamless operations.
- Collaborate with TeksMed’s network of medical professionals to ensure timely and appropriate medical referrals when screening results indicate a need for further attention.
- Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of medical equipment by following manufacturer guidelines and clinic protocols.
- Accurately document and maintain client health records in compliance with the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA) and the relevant regulatory bodies.
- Foster a positive and clean working environment that supports both team collaboration and a welcoming experience for patients.
To be successful as a Health Screening Coordinator with TeksMed, you will need:
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license
- Minimum of 5 years of working experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Valid malpractice/liability protection as required by the CNO
- Ability to fluently communicate in English (oral and written)
- Ability to comply with standard policies/ procedures and ensure safe work practices
- Previous experience with lipid panel interpretation and diabetic management (Asset)
