Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Millwright to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, with the ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial machinery. As a Millwright, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the operational efficiency of our equipment and systems.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for effective troubleshooting, preventive and corrective maintenance actions, installation and testing of all production equipment.
- Recommend technical solutions by examining all our machines, clarifying requirements with OEM representatives
- Identifying untapped equipment opportunities, product enhancements, and industry developments
- Represent our company to OEM and contractors in a professional manner and provide effective and professional communication
- Escalate unresolved issues to superiors promptly
- Provide Maintenance department with the necessary information for required replacement parts
- Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records
Working Conditions:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced Manufacturing environment
- Ability to work in a 3-shift rotation 5 days per week
Skills & Qualifications:
- A valid Certificate of Qualification for Industrial Millwright. (433A)
- Any applicable trade related licenses are considered an asset. Must be willing to train for missing certifications (fall arrest, aerial lift platform, etc.)
- Mechanical as well as electrical/electronic aptitude and experience
- Good computer skills along with a basic understanding of PC and PLC controls
- Good skills in machining, welding and fabrication.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to effectively handle time critical issues and meet deadlines
- Ability to develop and maintain strong rapport with fellow employees and Management.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Strong analytical, planning and organizational skills
- Flexibility – able to quickly adapt to new situations – and creativity – able to think “outside the box.”
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Work Status: Unionized, Full-Time, Permanent
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $43.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
