About the role

Casual After School Program Student Leader-East Antigonish Education Centre/Academy

Student Leaders work under the supervision of Pre-primary staff to support and supervise children during the After School Program. The After School program focuses on active play to promote movement, outdoor play and physical literacy. This program is open to children from Pre-primary to Grade 4 at EAECA. Weekly schedules will vary depending on staff availability and program needs.

Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years old, have access to daily transportation and be currently enrolled at the EAECA;
  • Must provide a current (within the past 3 months) and clear Criminal Record Check-Vulnerable Sector and Child Abuse Registry Check;
  • Must be available to work all scheduled shifts/days as outlined in job description;
  • Full participation in all assigned training, teambuilding events, staff meetings, special events, etc.
  • Organizational skills and experience with planning/implementation;
  • Experience working with children and youth.
