The Opportunity

The Trade Marketing Manager plays a key role in driving category growth and brand performance at retail. Acting as the strategic bridge between Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Management, this individual develops and executes trade strategies, channel programs, and customer-focused initiatives that enhance in-store presence and drive conversion.

This role requires a balance of strategic thinking, creative problem-solving, cross-functional collaboration, and strong executional discipline. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the 3Cs (Consumer, Customer, Competitor) and 4Ps (Product, Price, Promotion, Placement), with a passion for using data to drive decisions.

A Day in the Life

  • Lead the development of customer marketing strategies that align with brand priorities and retail opportunities
  • Design and execute channel-specific promotions and in-store campaigns across banners and retail partners
  • Collaborate closely with Sales to understand customer needs and tailor trade plans that deliver win-win outcomes
  • Partner with Revenue Management to optimize trade spend, pricing, and promotional effectiveness
  • Analyze performance metrics and translate insights into actionable plans that drive ROI and category growth
  • Own the trade calendar and ensure alignment across marketing, sales, and supply chain functions
  • Contribute to product launches with strong retail execution plans and go-to-market toolkits
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, agencies, and key retail accounts

What You’ll Bring

  • University degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in CPG, with a strong background in trade marketing, sales, or brand management
  • Proven track record of driving retail success through customer-focused programs
  • Solid commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and working with syndicated data (Nielsen, POS)
  • Strong project management, analytical, and communication skills
  • A team player with a passion for execution, results, and continuous improvement

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Calendar & Prioritization: Own the full-year commercial calendar, aligning cross-functional stakeholders around key priorities and activation timelines. Ensure consistency and focus across campaigns and initiatives.
  • Sales & Marketing Meetings: Lead the preparation and coordination of regular Sales & Marketing alignment meetings, ensuring clear communication of plans, priorities, and performance.
  • In-Store Analytics & Reporting: Track and analyze in-store execution performance, planogram compliance, and promotional effectiveness. Provide actionable insights to optimize performance by channel and customer.
  • Sales Incentives: Design and implement sales incentive programs to motivate and engage the sales force, with clear KPIs and ROI tracking.
  • Merchandising Materials: Develop, produce, and distribute impactful POS and merchandising materials aligned with brand strategy and sales goals. Ensure timely delivery and proper execution at retail.
