Position Details
Nason Contracting Group Ltd. is currently seeking Journeyperson Carpenter's for work at our Compost project in Calgary, AB.
- Schedule: Monday - Friday
- Benefits and RRSP Provided As Per Collective Agreement
What You Will Be Working On
- Installation, modification, and maintenance of temporary hoardings, ensuring they meet safety standards, building codes, and project specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirement
- Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and/or other materials
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and or roof systems
- Fit and install trim items such as doors, stairs, molding and hardware
What We Are Looking For
- Valid Journeyperson certificate in the trade of Carpentry
- Experience with Doka forms on commercial construction sites, including temporary enclosures, security barriers, and partitions
- CSTS 2020
- WHMIS 2015
- Extensive knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the work
- The ability to lift, carry and handle weight up to 50lbs
- Must have at least 2 years of commercial experience
- Must be organized, self-driven, and have ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions
