The challenges that await you
Reporting to the Deputy Director, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling preventive and corrective maintenance activities for infrastructures. In this capacity, you will collaborate on the strategic planning of the service and ensure efficient management of human, financial, and material resources in your division to guarantee the sustainability of municipal assets, the safety of users, and the quality of services offered to the public, while adhering to the strategic directions, policies, regulations, and budgets established by the City.
Main responsibilities:
- You will define and deploy the strategic vision of the division regarding maintenance;
- You will contribute to the development of seasonal and annual maintenance programs based on operational and budgetary priorities;
- You will plan, direct, and control the administrative and operational activities of the division to ensure that work is completed under the best conditions while minimizing equipment downtime;
- You will ensure compliance with health and safety standards during maintenance operations;
- You will monitor and control maintenance contracts performed by external suppliers;
- You will define intervention priorities based on needs, emergencies, and available resources;
- You will evaluate the effectiveness of maintenance processes and work methods against established objectives;
- You will ensure the optimal use of Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) to manage all maintenance activities of the service: issuing requests and interventions, preparing and scheduling work, managing supplies and inventory, closing interventions, as well as developing performance indicators and reports;
- You will advise management on facility maintenance.
The ideal profile for us
- Hold a bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering or any relevant degree for the position;
- Member of the order of engineers or in the process of obtaining it;
- In-depth knowledge of building systems (electricity, plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, etc.) and industrial process systems (mechanics, electricity and control, etc.);
- Mastery of maintenance management tools and software (CMMS);
- Good knowledge of normative and safety rules for buildings;
- Good knowledge of corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance processes;
- Competence in contract management and writing maintenance specifications;
- Understanding of availability, reliability, and cost issues related to equipment;
- Must possess training on safety for construction sites (OHS).
