Description The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is looking for an experienced general manager, preferably from a professional services organization, to lead a direct team of sellers (ProServe Sales Managers, ProServe Account Executives, and or ProServe Cloud Architects), and partnering with Area delivery teams to achieve Area goals. As a direct report to the Nordics/BENELUX Geo Leader, the ProServe Area Leader (PAL) is responsible for ensuring the Nordics/BENELUX are equipped to support ProServe’s ability to engage new and existing customers through a variety of transformative projects involving IT Strategy, distributed architecture, and hybrid cloud operations. As the single threaded ProServe leader for the Nordics/BENELUX PALs are the “face of ProServe” and required to interlock with Amazon Global Sales (AGS) Leaders to ensure ProServe and AGS teams are working together as #OneAWSTeam to deliver bar raising customer business outcomes. PALs operate within the ProServe Geo leadership team, and are responsible for representing their Area, escalating blockers to performance, and ensuring teams are enabled to deliver results.
PALs routinely engage with C-level executives within our customers to provide executive leadership, relationship management, and pre-sales support. Ultimately, they are responsible for ensuring Area teams (Sales, Delivery, Partner) work closely to drive business performance that meets and exceeds customer expectations. Acting as a path of escalation, internally and for customers, PALs are expected to be knowledgeable of our sales mechanisms, have knowledge of ProServe products and services, and be skilled at navigating executive relationships and enterprises to deliver outcomes for customers.
Your experience gained within professional services will ideally be supported by broad technology sector knowledge, which will equip you with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value for customers. You will demonstrate proficiency in driving sales teams, and the ability to apply sales methodologies optimizing CRM systems coupled with strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities. You will be measured on the Nordics/BENELUX performance against key metrics including but not limited to Revenue, Billable Bookings, operating margin, team engagement, and customer satisfaction.

Key job responsibilities
As an experienced Professional Services Leader/General Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Leading and developing a high-performing team of Account Executives and Cloud Architects
- Delivering against key metrics including but not limited to Revenue, Billable Bookings, operating margin, team engagement, and customer satisfaction
- Developing and supporting execution of sales strategies (including demand generation, strategic sales, GTM prioritisation) and Area operating strategies to meet team targets and drive revenue growth
- Managing customer relationships, ensuring high satisfaction and identifying new opportunities
- Leveraging deep AWS knowledge to guide sellers in proposing optimal solutions
- Monitoring and analyzing key performance indicators, ensuring accurate reporting and
Basic Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology sales, with 5+ years in management [Alternative: Experience in professional services business management, technology sales and people leadership.]
- Experience with cloud technologies
- Experience in leading business development activities and managing sales cycles through a direct Management team
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary for this position ranges from $114,800/year up to $191,800/year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
