About the Role
We are looking for a Human Resources People Partner to join our team! You’ll play a key role in fostering a positive workplace culture, driving staff engagement, and ensuring that HR practices reflect our mission, vision and values. What You’ll Do:
- Provide coaching and support to staff and management on HR policies including performance management, terminations, staff development and advise on staff relations issues.
- Advise on and ensure compliance with employment related legislation, including the Employment Standards Act.
- Support recruitment efforts across the organization, including preparing and posting job vacancies.
- Maintain accurate staff records and manage updates in ADP WorkForce Now.
- Champion diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives.
- Participate in health and safety compliance and staff wellbeing initiatives; including WSIB management.
Ensure the highest standards of data accuracy and confidentiality in all HR processes.
You bring the following qualifications
- Post-secondary education and/or experience with a focus on HR, coupled with the CHRP designation that is at minimum in progress
- 1+ years of Human Resources experience
- Strong understanding and working knowledge of all relevant Government and legal regulations including Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Code, AODA, Occupational Health & Safety Act, etc.
- Strong sense of professional accountability; can handle sensitive and confidential information with care and the utmost discretion
- Knowledge of Child Care and Early Years is an asset
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must be COVID-19 Vaccinated and provide Proof of Vaccination
