Whitehills Childcare Association is a dedicated non-profit organization committed to providing high-quality childcare services, including before and after school programs and full-day summer camps for children aged 3 months to 12 years in North-West London and surrounding Middlesex County.
Whitehills Childcare is expanding! Our new Northwest Child Care location will open mid-August. We are seeking RECEs, ECE Apprentices, Child and Youth or Recreation and Leadership to fill positions at Northwest Child Care in our Before and After school programs and other Whitehills' locations in London and surrounding counties which include, Wilfrid Jury, Orchard Park and Sir Arthur Currie Public School in London, Centennial Central Public School in Arva, Oxbow Public School in Ilderton, East Williams Memorial Public School in Ailsa Craig and Parkview Public School in Komoka. Group interviews will take place on June 23rd and 25th in the evening. Only successful candidates will be contacted and receive an invitation to participate. More details will be provided to successful candidates.
Selected candidates for employment will be notified near the end of June and employment will commence July 14th, 2025 to start work in our summer camps and prepare for the new school year starting in September.
Regular September hours: 7:15-9:15a.m. and 3-6p.m. Monday to Friday **You must be able to work both before and after shifts Monday to Friday. **In-betweens hours in childcare may be available.
Summary
We are seeking a passionate and nurturing RECEs/ECE Apprentices/CYW/R&L to join our team at Whitehills Childcare Association. This role is essential in creating a safe, engaging, and educational environments for children, allowing them to thrive and develop during their formative years.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive and compassionate care for children in a safe environment.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development.
- Support children's social, emotional, and physical needs through engaging play and interaction.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and well-being.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure the highest quality of care is provided.
Requirements
- Experience in early childhood education.
- Strong caregiving skills with a focus on child development.
- Ability to create a positive learning atmosphere for children.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of working with children with disabilities is an asset.
