Job Responsibilities:
Management
- SSI/SIC team leader, managing team schedules, time off requests and performance
- Responsible to managing all facets of departments
- Working directly with the Sales Director
- Work with Finance team on yearly & monthly forecasts for the SSI/SIC division
Inventory Management
- Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to track incoming and outgoing inventory
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure product availability and avoid overstock/stockouts
- Arrange and participate in inventory planning meetings and support forecasting efforts
- Assist in scheduling and reconciling regular physical inventory counts
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and follow up with the appropriate teams
- Support accurate inventory record keeping and documentation for audits and internal reviews
Customer Liaison
- Ownership of customer accounts and back up for all accounts, SIC & SSI
- Receive orders from sales team and customers directly – by email, telephone and verbal via other departments – forward to correct staff personal for processing
- Notify Customers of weekend, extended hours and any changes at the warehouses
- Trouble shooter for resolving all inquiries, complaints, rail issues, and truck dispatching
- Deal with all levels of supply chain, customers, suppliers, warehouse employees and STG
Vessel / Allocated Sales
- Receive allocations and pricing from CEO & Sales Director
- Forward purchasing requirements to Finance Administrator for processing
- Notify Finance team, complete “Deal Sheet”, of financial commitments
- Prepare Sales agreements and proforma invoices, sign off and forward to customers for customer signatures, requesting prepaid dollars
- Key point person on Vessel communication. Manage all lines of communication from Vendor, Port Agent and Sylvite Staff
Additional Duties
- Manage all aspects of SGN scales, from inquiries, invoicing, shipping, purchasing and website updates
- Support team with month end reconciliation and close procedures
- On Call during busy season, spring and fall fill
- Year end file management and storage
- Assist with audit requests
Education/Experience:
- 3+ years in Agriculture or related industry
- 2+years in a leadership role.
- Proficiency in all Office Software, particularly Excel
