ABOUT THE TEAM

The Senior Analyst, Corporate Accounting and Financial Reporting will be responsible for the recording and analysis of accounting transactions for PSPIB and its subsidiaries. The incumbent is responsible for participating in month-end and quarter-end accounting cycles and the production of PSPIB’s Consolidated Financial Statements and its four plan sponsors as per IFRS.

ABOUT YOUR ROLE

As a Senior Analyst, Corporate Accounting and Financial Reporting, you’ll:

  • Participate in the month-end closing; prepare and review journal entries, accruals and month-end analysis
  • Participate in the quarter-end closing; assist with the production of full quarterly financial statements (including notes) for PSPIB consolidated and its four pension plans in both official languages
  • Participate in the year-end closing; produce financial statements (including notes) for PSPIB consolidated and its four plans in both official languages, which include preparing PSPIB year-end audit working paper files and schedules, along with working in collaboration with auditors on interim work as well as year-end work
  • Prepare and review monthly entries and financial statements for PSP Capital, PSPIB Defined Benefit Pension Plan and PSPIB Defined Contribution Pension Plan
  • Produce required deliverables other than financial statements including those deriving from ad-hoc requests
  • Assist with responding to internal or external auditor questions
  • Assist with responding to queries from other departments

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • Professional title (CPA-CA, CPA-CGA or CPA-CMA)
  • Minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel and ability to quickly master computer systems
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal guidance
  • Team spirit and ability to work in a high-performance culture
  • Bilingualism: English and French (frequent interactions in English with PSP employees based in our offices in Hong Kong, London and New York, and interactions in French with employees in our local offices in Montreal and Ottawa)
