Master Planner

Job Summary:
Front end liaison between CPL Business Functional areas and provides an optimal Production Plan. Works closely with the other cross functional groups to ensure high level of Customer Service.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages the SAP production plan. Creates optimal plans balancing customer requirements, material deliveries and resource capacities. Compiles and integrates information to determine impact on production priorities and needs.
- Works with the appropriate individuals to gather information impacting production and product deliveries to customers.
- Conducts regular review meetings with other functional groups; updates status, address issues, is proactive in taking the lead to resolve current issues and mitigate potential issues.
- Ensures to have a backup person trained at their level of expertise to take over in their absence.
- Be the first point of contact to review / analyze / troubleshoot issues arising in or from the Planning application in SAP.
- Escalate to their manager and other functional areas, promptly, any potential issues that could impact customer delivery.
- Conduct periodic meetings with other functional groups to ensure the Production Plan is being executed.
- Maintain and track reports/lists as required.
- Create / Revise SOPs as required.
- Work closely with IT team to enhance systems and processes to increase efficiencies.
- Contributes to achieving Lean Goals and continuous improvement.
- An effective team player, exploiting the “state of art” ERP system and exercise the industry’s “best of practice” in the operation of the department.
- Is the hands-on expert; mentors peers (team) and provides the necessary knowledge transfers.
- Responsible for working in compliance with established safe work practices and procedures; properly uses personal protection and safety equipment as required by CPL; reports any injury or illness immediately and notifies CPL of any hazards, unsafe acts or conditions in the workplace.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Post secondary Education in Supply Chain Management . SCM, CPIM , APICS accreditation preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years on SAP R/3 ,Hana R/4.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Excellent organizational and report preparation skills.
- Proficient with a variety of computer programs including MS office programs. As well must have experience using SAP and strong Excel skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated competencies in CPL’s core values.
- Flexible with the ability to adapt, respond quickly and manage change in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, work effectively with all levels in the organization and work independently.
