This is a rare opportunity to join a company on the rise, where your work directly contributes to climate impact and national growth.

The Role in a Nutshell

You’ll lead the delivery of complex building upgrade projects across Canada, managing a multidisciplinary team that includes engineers, project managers, and trades. You’ll bring a deep understanding of building retrofits, construction best practices, and scalable systems. You’ll own project performance, drive client satisfaction, and play a hands-on role in developing the team and processes to hit ambitious targets.

You’ll also collaborate with business development and other internal teams to help identify / close deals and translate field experience into smarter tools; bringing structure, insight, and leadership to a fast-moving, high-purpose environment.

What You’ll Do:

Construction & Execution Leadership

  • Oversee the execution of building upgrade projects, ensuring quality, safety, timelines, and budget.
  • Lead and mentor a team of project managers, tradespeople (in-house and sub), and engineers.
  • Be on-site when needed, especially during onboarding, troubleshooting, and big wins.
  • Solve problems proactively, and help your team do the same.

Strategy, Structure & Scale

  • Build repeatable systems and processes for estimating, execution, close-out, and communication with clients.
  • Drive integration with internal teams to streamline operations.
  • Champion continuous improvement with a mindset toward volume, scale, and clarity.

Client & Revenue Ownership

  • Build strong relationships with clients, ensuring every touchpoint reinforces value and trust.
  • Support business development by helping to scope work, close deals, and deliver excellence.
  • Instill revenue ownership within the construction team, this role is critical to meeting targets.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Evaluate the current team, identify gaps, coach performance, and make changes when necessary.
  • Recruit, train, and scale a team of high-performing PMs, engineers, and trades.
  • Ensure every team member is aligned, accountable, and growing.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Share field insights to support the development of operational tools and systems.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure cohesion and alignment across the organization.

Who You Are:

  • A methodical, engineering-minded construction leader who can also roll up their sleeves and walk the job site.
  • A builder of systems, people, and trust who takes ownership and leads with integrity.
  • An exceptional communicator, embodying a collaborative and client-focused approach
  • Strategic and entrepreneurial; you think about the big picture, driving profitability for the organization and success for our clients not just today’s project
  • Someone who gets what it means to retrofit.

Your Background Likely Includes:

  • Solid experience in construction/engineering roles, including people management.
  • Experience with retrofit projects and understanding the complexity they bring (e.g., legacy systems, surprises, sequencing).
  • Engineering degree (civil, mechanical, electrical preferred); P.Eng or PMP a plus.
  • Deep knowledge of managing trades, PMs, consultants, and clients.
  • Budget, schedule, and quality control experience across a wide project size range.
  • Bonus: experience in the sustainability space and/or mid-sized companies.

Working Style:

  • Hybrid work model with site visits ~1x/week and national travel ~1–2x/month (especially in year one).
  • You like to work hard, but not burn out. You’ll be supported with flexibility, autonomy, and benefits that support your life outside of work.

The Package:

  • Salary: $110K–$135K base + performance-based upside (flexible for the right person).
