CORPORATE FINANCE SPECIALIST
BroadGrain Commodities Inc. (“BroadGrain”) is a fast-growing global company trading and transporting grains, cereals, oilseeds, pulses, specialty crops and by-products. Today, BroadGrain enjoys over $700 million in annual revenue and handles over two million tons of agricultural commodities each year in our international and domestic businesses. We are poised for continual growth across all of our business units and are continually looking to add talented individuals to support our expansion.
This position is based in Toronto and will further support the increasing functionality demands within our Finance Department, and we are therefore searching for an independent, self-starter to join the team. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting various finance activities including:
- Financing: manage structured trade transactional financing, assist with management of corporate credit facilities (reporting, amendments, renewals), assist with raising new financing in support of expansion projects.
- Corporate finance: business forecasting and financial modelling, financial and business analysis of capital projects, and modelling and building out business case for new investment opportunities and major strategic projects.
- General: work with CFO and other team members on various special projects in support of the continued growth of the company.
Key qualifications would include:
- 5 – 10 years advanced finance experience, including model building
- Experience in structured commodity finance
- Good understanding of derivatives
- Compelling analytical-thinking and problem solving skills
- Strong negotiation abilities
- Solid written and oral presentation skills
- Strong Excel, PowerPoint and Word aptitude
- Ability to work independently, meet changing priorities in a fast-paced environment , multi-task and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to comfortably interact with all levels within the organization and with external parties
- University degree in finance or related discipline
- Professional designation or Masters degree a definite asset.
