The challenges that await you
You are responsible for maintaining the security posture and contributing to the realization of the organization's vision regarding cybersecurity.
More specifically, taking into account references, organizational security documentation, IT security guidelines, and the necessary tools and resources, you identify and define operational security needs and ensure they are considered in all aspects of system engineering and in all phases of the systems development lifecycle.
In this capacity, you are particularly responsible for establishing security requirements, identifying risk situations, defining action plans to mitigate them, and ensuring the security of information produced by all IT systems in the City.
More specifically, you will be required to:
- Conduct risk analyses, identify problematic situations, and define action plans to reduce risks related to information security on projects, programs, third parties, and for all security positioning requests;
- Define and document information security requirements within various IT projects, as well as with project teams and operational teams based on industry standards and norms;
- Assign, distribute, and verify the work performed by staff without having formal hierarchical authority. Determine standards, control the quality of work, and evaluate the results obtained;
- Participate in and/or coordinate meetings, discussions, or internal management meetings with employees from other divisions or City Services and/or representatives from external organizations to examine issues within your area of expertise and find appropriate solutions.
The ideal profile for us
- Hold a bachelor's degree in computer science or any other relevant field;
- Have at least eight (8) years of relevant experience in the role, including knowledge of personal data protection, information security, and internal fraud;
- Knowledge of reference frameworks: COBIT, MITRE, ITSG-33, NIST 800-61, and ISO-27035 is an asset.
