We’re looking for our next Senior Manager, Enterprise Risk Management. Could it be you? The Senior Manager, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) is responsible for supporting the enhancement, implementation and ongoing management of the Enterprise Risk Management program and for providing effective risk management and support across Community Trust Company, in compliance with OSFI regulatory requirements.
Reporting to the Director, Enterprise Risk Management, the Senior Manager, ERM will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of risk management at Community Trust / future bank entity. This role is highly strategic and will be responsible for supporting the enhancement, implementation and ongoing management of the Enterprise Risk Management framework and for providing effective risk management and support across the Company, in compliance with OSFI regulatory requirements.
Working closely with partners and stakeholders across the Company, the highly analytical and strategic Senior Manager, ERM will be responsible for leading and advancing ERM methodologies, assessments, governance, training and reporting.

- Lead the development, implementation, and alignment of ERM programs across the company, overseeing all aspects of risk identification, assessment, mitigation, monitoring, and reporting.
- Champion and evolve risk reporting, effectively communicating complex risk information in a clear and concise manner
- Advance the development and implementation of risk appetite methodology and metrics to support Risk Appetite monitoring across the company
- Develop and deliver compelling presentations and reports to the Board of Directors, Committees and Senior management, on the key risks
- Collaborate and support businesses in risk assessments of key functions, strategies and new initiatives
- Support the Enterprise’s Stress Testing and Scenario Analysis programs
- Oversee the Data Governance and Model Validation frameworks to ensure integrity and accuracy in our risk-related data
- Stay abreast of emerging risks and industry best practices, proactively adapting the ERM program to address evolving challenges
- Lead the development and roll out of risk training and education across the company
- Foster a strong risk culture throughout the organization through effective communication, training, and engagement initiatives
- Lead and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure a coordinated approach to risk management
- Manage governance related activities, including policy management
- Support ERM’s responsibilities for the Board of Directors and various Committees
- Support the development and implementation of standards for enterprise policies and risk acceptances

- Have a university degree, preferably in a business, risk management or compliance discipline
- Have 5+ years of recent risk management experience in the financial services/fintech and/or banking industry; OSFI regulated institution preferred
- Have proven experience preparing and presenting comprehensive reports and analyses to a Board of Directors or a committee of the Board.
- Have a combination of financial and non-financial risk experience preferred
- Have the ability to collaborate and work effectively with internal and external partners
- Are a proactive self-starter
- Have strong communications skills both written and verbal
- Have the ability to see the big picture while being comfortable with day to day responsibilities
- Have the ability to gather, analyze, organize, document and present information in a succinct and organized manner
- Have sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritizing, and executing skills
- Have previous experience with stress testing and scenario analysis frameworks, data governance and an understanding of modelling and modelling techniques is an asset
