SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Marketing, to join our growing Marketing team. This role will be a full-time, permanent position working out of our head office located in Oakville, Ontario. We are looking for a strategic leader who is dedicated to ferocious client service, treating people right, and being a part of a team. Our team is the heart of everything!

The Director of Marketing will report directly to the CEO and will play a critical role in overseeing and building out the Marketing department, establishing its strategic direction, and implementing operational frameworks. The Director of Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies, utilizing best practices in campaign development, execution, and measurement, all while ensuring data-driven decision-making. This is a key leadership role, and only those with directly applicable, progressive marketing experience will be considered.

AS A DIRECTOR, MARKETING, YOU WILL MAKE YOUR IMPACT BY:

  • Developing and implementing comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with business goals to establish best practices, define KPIs, and analyze marketing data to measure campaign effectiveness and ROI.
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of marketing professionals, including a Marketing Manager and Coordinator, while overseeing consultant and vendor relationships, delegating tasks effectively, and fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment.
  • Strategically planning and executing paid digital advertising campaigns and managing email marketing campaigns, including segmentation and A/B testing.
  • Leading the conceptualization and implementation of multi-channel marketing campaigns (including digital, social media, email, content, events, print, direct mail), ensuring brand consistency and adherence to guidelines.
  • Developing and executing inbound marketing strategies to attract, engage, and convert prospective customers including overseeing Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategies, implementing lead capture mechanisms, and developing lead-nurturing programs.
  • Leading the analysis of campaign performance, identifying trends and insights, and establishing robust reporting mechanisms with marketing automation tools and CRM systems (including NetSuite CRM and Hubspot).
  • Developing, managing, and allocating the annual marketing budget for optimal ROI with continuous monitoring of industry trends, technological advancements, and changes in consumer behaviour to adapt strategies dynamically.
  • Working closely with other departments to align marketing efforts with business objectives and client experience, where you will effectively communicate marketing strategies, coordinate with external partners, develop corporate communication strategies, and manage public relations.
  • Developing and managing outbound lead generation strategies, focusing on acquiring high-quality leads with our Sales team to ensure seamless lead hand-off and effective follow-up.
  • Overseeing the development and optimization of our company website, with a strong focus on enhancing user experience (UX), conversion rates (CRO), and mobile responsiveness.

YOU CAN EXCEL AS A DIRECTOR, MARKETING, IF YOU HAVE:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of marketing leadership experience, with a proven track record of developing and executing strategies that drive sales, lead generation, and revenue growth.
  • 3+ years of people management experience, including mentoring and developing marketing professionals.
  • Strong expertise in both print and digital marketing, particular emphasis on print media and direct mail is an asset.
  • Experience working in a Marketing agency is an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to build out marketing departments and create comprehensive strategic plans.
  • Experience with Marketing software and platforms (i.e. Netsuite CRM, Hubspot, Mailchimp, etc.).
  • High proficiency in Google Suite.
  • Proficiency in Google Analytics or similar web analytics platforms for comprehensive digital performance tracking with the ability to develop and present insightful reports based on complex marketing data to drive business decisions.
  • Extensive knowledge of various marketing metrics (i.e., LTV, ROAS, conversion rates, engagement rates) and their strategic implications.
  • Knowledge in leveraging AI tools and technologies for marketing optimization (i.e. content generation, audience segmentation, predictive analytics, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with a strong understanding of SEO, including best practices, on-page, off-page, and technical SEO strategies, as well as Google Ads for paid advertising campaigns.
  • Demonstrated experience in marketing analytics, including data interpretation, KPI development, and performance reporting with a strong background in brand management, corporate communications, and public relations, ensuring consistent messaging across all touchpoints.
  • Exposure in negotiating with and managing external vendors, agencies, and consultants with proficiency in market research and consumer insights.
  • Experience in allocating resources effectively, monitoring expenditures, and ensuring campaigns are cost-efficient while delivering measurable returns on investment.
  • Strong understanding of content strategy and creation across various formats and marketing channels, coupled with a profound ability to collect, interpret, and leverage data for assessing campaign performance and making evidence-based decisions.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail, adapting to evolving business needs with innovative solutions, and effectively prioritizing and managing workloads to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively.
