About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our well-established practice.
The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for our patients, delivering exceptional customer service while efficiently managing the administrative tasks of our dental office. This role requires a solid understanding of dental terminology and experience in a medical or dental office environment.
We are looking for someone who is confident, highly efficient in handling administrative duties, and possesses excellent communication skills. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively with our supportive team is essential.
This position is for up to 4 days per week, including one evening per week and one Saturday per month.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in and check-out procedures.
- Schedule appointments efficiently, managing calendars for multiple providers.
- Handle patient inquiries and provide information about services, procedures, and office policies.
- Maintain accurate patient records using an electronic dental records system.
- Process insurance claims and verify patient insurance coverage.
- Collect payments and handle billing inquiries professionally.
- Ensure the front desk area is organized, tidy, and welcoming.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless patient flow and effective communication within the office.
Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of experience in dental or medical reception.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to deliver outstanding patient service.
- Strong administrative skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in both verbal and written communication.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Experience using electronic dental record systems.
- Solid understanding of dental and medical terminology.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
