Position Summary
To ensure the organization, maintenance, coordination, scheduling and operation of the simulation suites and health labs for simulation and scenario activities related to programs in the School of Health & Community Services (including, but not limited to the DSW , PN, BScN, Paramedic, PSW , Dental, MLA / MLS , MRT , RT programs) as well as liaison, scheduling and operation of simulation and health labs for external partners.
To assist with staffing part time simulation and health lab technicians as well as to schedule, train, liaise and coordinate the work (and track timesheets) for the part time simulation and health lab technicians.
To be the College’s lead and subject matter expert in the development and creation of healthcare simulation.

Minimum level of formal education required for the position
3 year diploma/degree or equivalent education
Specific course(s), certification, qualification, formal training or accreditation required for the position
Additional requirements obtained by course(s) of a total of 100 hours or less
Additional Requirements
Medi Tech, Glucometer, CPR /First Aid (pre-hire requirement)
Field(s) of Study
Professional Nurse with current registration as a Registered Nurse in Ontario.
Experience
Typical number of years of experience, in addition to the necessary education level, required to perform the responsibilities of the position
Minimum of five (5) years
Type of Experience
Recent nursing practice experience in an acute care setting requiring current knowledge and skill related to nursing procedures. Hands on technical experience working in health labs with simulation technology and manikins.
