Description The Role
Claims Adjudicators conduct financial reviews and analyses to determine the eligibility of claims. They also verify customer production information, and process claims and claim payments for programs delivered by Agricorp.
In This Role, You Will
- Manage client claims through the claims process, including claims of varying complexity and payment value, to evaluate applications against coverage criteria, verify reported data, liaise with customers to obtain required information, investigate discrepancies, and determine program benefits in accordance with Agricorp’s policies and best practices
- Participate in claims file discussions and collaborate with senior quality advisors, claims specialists, or team leaders on cases requiring further approvals, legal counsel, or potential appeals.
- Provide technical guidance to clients and producers related to Agricorp's suite of programs.
- Identify and escalate high-risk issues to specialists or team leaders, as required.
- Coach and
- provide technical guidance to junior members of the team and peers across the organization.
- Maintain professional working relationships with clients and agents.
Job status: Permanent Full-time
Salary: $63,814 - $75,075 a year
Location: The successful candidate must live in Ontario to perform this role
Work Status: Full time in office or hybrid work arrangements (3 days per week in office) offered

Qualifications
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in business, economics, agricultural science or related field, or equivalent experience; additional training in accounting, risk analysis/risk management, or financial analysis an asset
- 3 or more years experience in claims or risk adjudication, preferably in the financial services or agricultural sectors
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing, to diverse groups, including clients, brokers, agents, and other professionals
- Demonstrated analytical and interpretive skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
- Agricultural knowledge is an asset
- Working towards a professional designation in finance, Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP), or Fellow of the Insolvency Institute of Canada (FIIC) an asset
